In this lecture, Dr. Mary Rodgers will present on various HIV biomarkers; review the challenges associated with HIV viral diversity; review the global distribution of HIV viral diversity; and learn about the Abbott Viral Surveillance Program and how it supported the discovery of HIV subtype L.

Mary received her PhD in biological and biomedical sciences from Harvard University. She completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Southern California. Mary joined Abbott in 2014 and has since added three new pathogens (HCV, HDV, SARS-CoV-2) to the Surveillance Program, published 23 research papers, and was named one of Business Insider’s 30 under 40 Young Leaders in Biotech in 2017.
