Dr. med. vet. Robert Hecht is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in veterinary medicine, biomedical engineering, and automation technology. He currently leads a consulting firm focused on technical innovation and has held leadership roles at Abbott Automation Solutions and GLP systems GmbH, where he invented the “GLP Track.” His career spans over three decades, including CEO roles at Olympus subsidiaries and software development for major pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Hecht has conducted advanced research in surgical technology and microcirculation, collaborating with institutions like Harvard and Washington University. He holds a PhD with honors and a veterinary degree from LMU Munich, along with earlier studies in aeronautical engineering. His work has earned him prestigious awards, including multiple RED DOT Design prizes. He is skilled in lean production, CAD design, and process management systems like TPS and PLM. Beyond his professional life, he is active in the Lions Club and holds both sailing and pilot licenses. His career reflects a unique blend of scientific innovation, leadership, and technical expertise.
